In recent years, tourism in this segment of the Caribbean has been growing strongly and, together with the increase in tourists, the volume of waste produced is also growing strongly.
Nowadays it is not possible to access recycling opportunities, for this reason we strongly promote responsible tourism by asking all visitors to the wonderful San Blas Islands not to leave anything that is not biodegradable on the islands, but to bring it back with you to the mainland, where it is easier to dispose of it.
So in addition to helping the planet, let’s leave this corner of paradise clean for the people who come after you. The best way to preserve these places is to take care of them, with small and easy practices like: do not throw rubbish, stop using straws, minimize the use of plastic and bring any plastic or waste to the city.
